Writer Allison Gryphon, author of the original screenplay for La Cucina (The Kitchen), said that the film that had its world premiere at last year’s Backlot Film Festival, will debut on television on Friday.
La Cucina tied for first place with Yesterday Was A Lie, a film noir thriller, as Best Independent Fiction Feature Film at the Culver City festival.
La Cucina was co-directed by Allison Hebbie and Zed Starkovich. The romantic-comedy-drama revolves around a warm summer evening at an apartment house where four separate meals are being prepared in the heart of each apartment, the kitchen.
As the evening unfolds, the charecters explore their joys, fears and relationships along with lasagna, bruschetta, insalata caprese and cannolis.
La Cucina stars Christina Hendrix, Joaquim de Almeida, Rachel Hunter, Clare Carey, Leisha Hailey, Oz Perkins, Kate Savage and Michael Cornacchia.
Ms. Gryphon also announced that La Cucina would be out on DVD and Blu-Ray by Valentine's Day.
Here are the times on Showtime Showcase:
