On Wednesday, Jan. 13, at 6 o’clock, a preview will take place on the Robert Frost Auditorium stage.
Earlier this month, the AVPA’s version of Nickleby was ranked by the Southern Region of the California Educational Theatre Assn. as not only the first-place winner in Los Angeles County, but also No. 1 in Southern California.
As a result, the AVPA troupe will be performing at the association’s festival on Martin Luther King Jr., weekend, Jan. 15-17, at Los Olivos High School, Rancho Cucamonga.
To help cover the costs of moving this production immediately afterward to the festival site, a $10 donation will be requested.
Nicholas Nickleby, directed by Sheila Silver, AVPA’s Creative Director of Theatre, played to nine sold-out performances at the SPoT in November.
