[Editor’s Note: Ms. Mansell is a burgeoning writer and a deeply searching thinker.]
How about moving off the center,
Into the corner or to the side?
At those battles, I fight and I surrender,
Let another shine victory’s light.
How about being unimportant?
No one heard. Untouched and untouched.
A blank with no petty attached mailout?
How about looking in the mirror
At an angle I never noticed?
Let those things that I hide appear
In the ultimate honest light.
Oh, my dearest friendAnd my loathest,
I am both made and destroyed by you
How about, for one moment, you will
write on your bill to me, void?
