At the League of Woman Voters’ School Board Candidates Forum last night, it appeared that fellow candidate Scott Zeidman had a lot of student supporters.
It was as if something was being staged when he asked students to stand up a couple of times during the forum.
After the forum was over, fellow candidate Gary Abrams and I went up to some of the students. We asked them why they appeared to be backing Mr. Zeidman. They said they were getting class credit for it.
In addition, I heard that the kids were being “bribed” with “Free Denny’s” if they were to show up in support of Mr. Zeidman. I was told that the word “Free Denny’s” was posted next to Mr. Zeidman's name on a white board in a school clas room.
This follows the sneaky pattern of Mr. Zeidman's M.O.
I am surprised that a teacher would allow such an apparent bias to occur in her class.
I am not making this up. Mr. Abrams is my witness. I talked to other students while Mr. Abrams was talking to someone else. They verified what the other students said.
I wonder if Mr. Zeidman is going to list this “Free Denny's” on his political disclosure form.
I don't believe the students made this up. However, it shows to what lengths Mr. Zeidman stages events. I wonder what the supposed “hundreds of student volunteers” got for passing out literature last Sunday?
