I look forward to school beginning for all my students. As much as I pride myself on being able to multi-task and be flexible with scheduling, I am ready for things to settle down.

I miss being creative, writing music, and having artist nights. I have spent a summer full of shorts bursts of activity followed by pauses not long enough to truly begin something with any amount of concentration.

My husband’s new theater project hasn’t helped. But that is mostly a night-time disturbance. I have filled my days with lessons, rehearsals, and meetings.

I wouldn’t change a thing about my life. But I am happy that my schedule has the seasons that the weather in Southern California doesn’t provide.
