Re “Repetition Does Not Make an Untruth Trueand $20,000 — A Goldberg Campaign Goal

I am writing on two subjects:

Thank you, School Board member Kathy Paspalis for your response to Robert Zirgulis that the School District approved $6.40 annually per student on a retainer for lawyers vs. approving $4.57 annually per student on milk (6,405 ADA, based on the District's May budget).

How much did Ms. P. receive from lawyers during her 2009 School Board campaign? Hmmmm….

A story in Monday’s edition notes the fundraising efforts of School Board members Karlo Sibiger and Prof. Patricia Siever for the CCUSD 2009 Board election.

Both received significant “loans” to their campaign to gin up their “local” support.

Nearly two-thirds in loans for one of these candidates.

For any candidate to raise $20K in 2011, it will have to come from special interests and out of the district (i.e. not Culver City residents).

Is this good, bad, or indifferent?
