Here Is a Toast to Ms. Anthony and to DSK

It felt strange last evening, walking into the living room after dinner and watching conservative commentators I have agreed with for years contorting themselves into angry pretzels because Casey Anthony correctly was not convicted.

They easily could have been mistaken for liberals who nearly choke on daily anger because this is Thursday or because there goes another darned red light when City Hall knows the man already is late for an appointment.

It is entertaining for a change to pit men against women in the disagreement arena instead of liberals vs. conservatives.

Anecdotally, most men appear to concur with the not-guilty judgment. All women, no exceptions, so very emotional, are on the other side because well, because a mother should not kill her child. Proof? Who needs proof? She has been convicted in the media.

For entrenched (liberal) rivals to be on your side in a case as large as this sparks a tingling feeling.

A Week for the Good Guys

For reliable allies to be across the table, vehemently contending for the wrong side, also is strange, not really comforting.

Like seeing an ex-wife at a wedding where neither of you is directly involved.

This has been a banner week for conservative justice, traditional justice, as opposed to the cockeyed and typically misnamed “social justice” relentlessly promoted by the left.

“Social justice” mostly is political vengefulness, instinctively lashing back at conservatives, taking the money that we have earned and giving it to the millions of “poor” and “middle class” who make a living by accepting government generosity.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn — hereafter known as DSK — is the second reason to celebrate this week. The filthy woman who accused him has been properly exposed. Whether the case is dropped or not, the important part is that a whore has been unmasked. Hopefully she will be penalized.

Silly Sandy (Lawdy, Lawdy, the Most Fun I Have Every Day Is Playing a Victim) Banks, the Los Angeles Titanic’s unintentional and unaware comic relief essayist, wrote an embarrassing piece two days ago in indignant defense of the sluttish maid whose list of lies to authorities is tall enough for the lie list to dunk a basketball.

Please May I Be a Victim?

But Silly Sandy stood up for the despicable person who claimed “rape” for three reasons:

They have gender and color in common. Thirdly, you know how professional victims prey the land, hungrily searching for company.

The entire philosophy of contemporary liberalism is based on emotion — doesn’t your heart ache, pal?

That is how thin-minded persons such as Ms. Banks exist. Reasoning is in the answer. They are color blind about grey matter.

You can be sure Ms. I Am So Darned Put-Upon as a Victim but Aren’t I Brave? has been sleepless the two nights since the Anthony verdict.

Ms. Anthony and DSK are inextricably linked.

Neither may not be the persons you were taught to bring home to mama and papa.

But, that is not why they were charged.

Rule your life with your mind, friends, not your heart.

Good for Ms. Anthony and cheers for DSK, whose lowly accuser seems to be escaping unpunished. A pity.
