Friends and Neighbors,
Here is the agenda for the Traffic Committee meeting this evening where they are to discuss suspending parking enforcement for the residential areas, Sepulveda Boulevard to Overland Avenue and Ballona Creek to Culver Boulevard, for the CCUSD graduation ceremonies on June 16 and 17.
As this is the first notification I have received from Culver City about a such a request, I can only believe the School District is responding to complaints from those drivers who have been cited for violating the posted parking restriction signs at past CCUSD events at the Quad-Campus (Culver City High School/Adult School, Culver City Middle School, Farragut Elementary School and CCUSD Office of Child Development Center for Early Education).
My own impromptu visual survey shows those residential streets are already used heavily by vehicles displaying Culver City Parking Permits.
I hope you will have an opportunity to join in me in voicing our concerns about this suspension.
Best Regards
