Culver City Should Send Its Best to Japan

I have been disturbed by two events:

Mother Nature’s cruel devastation that was brought to the people of Japan and Madman Khadafy's slaughter of pro-democracy innocents.

I urged the City Council on Monday to do what it could to help the people of Japan by sending people trained in Urban Search in Rescue from our Fire Dept. to help in Japan. I, myself, will be going to the Red Cross to offer blood.

In regards to Madman Khadafy:

“Khadafy Flies, People Die!”

The City Council has taken political stands in the past. I think the City Council should come out and condemn Madman Khadafy and urge Obama to send material aid and implement a no-fly zone to help pro-democracy factions opposed to Khadafy.

I'm not suggesting we send troops.

I think we should support the right people who want freedom. Lord knows that without the support of the French, our American Revolution would not have succeeded.

The Westwood American Red Cross will be having a blood drive on Saturday, between 7:30 a.m. 2:30, at 11355 Ohio Ave.
