State Sen. Curren D. Price Jr. (D-Culver City) is issuing a call for nominations for his fifth annual “Tribute to SHeroes” awards.

In honor of Women’s History Month, Sen. Price is soliciting nominations throughout the month for remarkable women who reside in the 26th Senate District.

What is a “SHero”? A woman who has demonstrated leadership, civic pride, volunteerism and commitment to her community in a remarkable manner.

The nomination period closes on Friday, March 25, and nominees must live in the 26th Senate District.

Sen. Price will select 26 SHeroes. The honorees will be announced in April and will be feted in May.

To nominate a “SHero,” complete both sides of the nomination form appended to the bottom of this story.

A form also may be obtained from Sen. Price’s www.sen.ca.gov/price or by telephoning his district office at 213.745.6656.
