Re “Sheila Silver’s Dismissal Ignites Culver AVPA Student Protest

Thank you for your unsparing glance this morning into this seemingly corrupt situation at Culver City High School, and for bringing these students' voices to life.

I keep hearing the tail end of these revelations.

I feel more and more angered by the way this school administration is treating the drama and English teacher Sheila Silver.

What happened to the School Board's no-bullying policy? And if she's so terrible, shouldn't she have been dismissed already?

If a student is bad, you get rid of the student.

Why is Ms. Silver even being allowed to work the rest of the year? Maybe it's because she's currently directing a 30-plus student musical.

Maybe it's because she's currently mentoring ANOTHER teacher.

I don't know how a student teacher is assigned a master teacher but you would think you wouldn't pick a teacher who was about to get fired.

I appreciate article and would love any follow up information on this matter.
