Preparing for the election on April 8, Mr. Clarke’s event will be at the home of Mr. Culver City, Mike Cohen, 4378 Jasmine St., from 2 o’clock to 4.

Mr. Clarke made history when he was voted onto the City Council a year ago last April. He was the first candidate to be elected for two years, filling the unexpired term of Scott Malsin who had resigned in December 2011.

Voters elected four candidates to the City Council for the first time, and Mr. Clarke was part of that historic team.

Over the past two years he has been a visible presence in the community. Mr. Clarke has met with neighborhoods and individual residents to hear their concerns.

A Culver City homeowner since 1977, he has witnessed major changes in the city.

He said that one of his major goals as a Councilman is maintaining the integrity of neighborhoods that make Culver City a desirable place to live.
