Since the other School Board candidates have their shills writing every day for them, my petition signers for restoring the Natatorium have made public their comments. Here is a sampling:
“My son was on the swimming team in the Middle School and high school. That swimming pool kept him out of a lot of problems he could have had. My son now is 43 years old. Youngsters should have the same opportunities he had more than 20 years ago. Are we going forward or backward?” – Gary Krawitz, Culver City.
“I used it as a child, and I would like my children to enjoy it, too. We must reopen.” – Ms. Brenda Duran-Weeks, Culver City.
“Please save the pool. Swimming should be integrated back to the student curriculum.” – Ms. Paola Coria, Culver City.
“I went through school in Culver City, and I used this pool. I support its restoration. This is a case of benign neglect that should not be ignored. It really is hard to believe the School District let this happen.” – Janet Franks.
