Duh, No. 39: Forward head posture
To think, all these years, walking around with my shoulders forward, and my head even more forward. I noticed it for the first time last month in the pictures and videos we took at the beach. Something was wrong with my posture, but I could not put my finger on it.
Last week, I discovered that the reason for my recent neck and shoulder pain was my forward head position. Now I'm wearing a reminder bracelet so I will keep my shoulders back, my head, chin in, above my neck like a golf ball sitting on a tee.
I do my daily exercises, such as head to the side – look up – and stretch it back, and the same on the other side.

Duh, No. 40: Cable Ties
Sure I've seen them in the stores but, believe it or not, I’ve never used them. Until this week. What have I used to connect things in the past? String. Tape. Wire. Glues of all kinds.
A worker at Home Depot recommended the cable ties for my current outdoor project. I bought a pack of 100 8-inch cable ties. Amazingly, a tie just fit around the 1-inch and ½-inch PVC pipes I needed to connect. That was already a good sign!. Then I began looking for more things to connect with the ties. It’s been so much fun tying things together and then cutting off the excess piece of tie so that the connection looks immaculate. An example of this CREATIVE FUN: I needed to connect a PVC pipe running in one direction to a piece of wood running perpendicularly to the pipe. By putting a screw in the piece of wood, I was able to cable-tie the PVC to the screw.
Duh, No. 41: Better Popup Plastic Strips
My popups have popped up, but due to the weight of the cut-out pictures to which they were attached, the popups sagged ever so slightly. Now, no more sagging. I used my laminating machine to laminate the plastic sheets I used for the popups. These “new” laminated plastic strips don’t sag. My popups are now as happy as I am.
