The second half of Culver City’s Boulevard Music Summer Festival concert season opens classily tomorrow evening at 7 in the Courtyard of City Hall.
Two-time Grammy-winning guitarist Albert Lee is the soothing, and sometimes rocking, headliner.

Mr. Lee
Producer Gary Mandell calls Mr. Lee “a musician’s musician.
“He plays hot country, and rock and blues guitar, and he has performed with some of the country’s leading entertainers.”
British-born Mr. Lee starred as a member of Emmylou Harris’s Hot Band and the Crickets. Five times he was voted ‘Best Country Guitar Picker’ by Guitar Player magazine.
For more than 20 years, Mr. Lee played regularly with the Everly Brothers.
Starting in 1972, Mr. Lee worked for five years with Eric Clapton, playing and singing for a live concert recording at the Budokan in Japan.
In November 2002, Mr. Lee was among other world-class names appearing at the Royal Albert Hall in the “Concert for George,” a tribute to George Harrison.
He also appeared at the “2007 Crossroads Guitar Festival” and continues to work in the studio and tours on a regular basis with Bill Wyman’s (Rolling Stones) Rhythm Kings.
