When I entered the construction gate at the football field at Culver City High School, the first thing that caught my eye was the immense emerald green field laid out with its contrasting, deep blue end zones.

C-e-n-t-a-u-r-s was emblazoned in big, bold white letters across it. A sight to behold.

With their windsocks, the new goalposts looked terrific. Whether or not you like to come out and watch high school sports, you must see this.

Truly it is going to be a focus of pride for our community.

It has been three weeks since the asphalt was laid, and it will have to cure for another week before the tartan track can be laid.

The restrooms and snack bar/ticket booth still are rising.  The project is moving on schedule. It should be ready by the first home football game, early in September.

The Soar Power's contractor have poured the foundations for the solar panels in the student parking lot and at Farragut Elementary. Estimated ti completion time for this electrical project is early 2014.
