To Ken Smith: I did not attack you or the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church. I am not upset that the church does good deeds on its premises. Your use of the church to remove Farragut Drive parking restrictions just seems punitive. Your use of political influence started this dispute. If you would stand down and cancel certain political debts, there would not be a dispute.
Mr. Smith, try to focus on the big issue. You claim that the church is able to conduct a tremendous Grace Diner program for five years, serving 20,000 meals, along with the 48 other weekly activities at the church.
But the church has been active for 32 years without having been impaired by the Farragut parking restrictions. We have shown that Meals-on-Wheels abused its permit exemptions, and that those with a handicap sticker are exempt. So what is the church’s problem? Why are you causing the church to harass Farragut residents to solve a problem that does not exist?
If you think that the church has a problem, state what it is and what have you done to solve it.
These are simple questions that you continually refuse to answer. This indicates that you, not the church, have a problem.
You inquired as to what I have done lately for the community. Recently, I have spent much time investigating and combating political-influence peddling and a government that is attempting to trample the rights of its citizens, except those within the power-elite circles. I have spent other time informing my fellow plebeians (those who are unable to roam the halls of power with the greatest of ease) as to the landscape in Culver City.
Again, what is the church’s problem?
What have you done to solve it (other than to harass us folks on Farragut)?
