Jews for Peace – Friday, 12 noon, at 11766 Wilshire Blvd. — “to end the Gaza War and the blockade of Gaza,” organizer Jeff Warner was cautioning war-watchers to be skeptical of charges that Palestinians are being used as human shields by Hamas.
“In the 2008-2009 Gaza-Israel War, when that was investigated by Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International and the (United Nations-sanctioned) Goldstone Report, they found the accusations were not true,” Mr. Warner said.
Dispassionately, he claims Israel performed more immorally than the Hamas terrorists.
“Not only that,” Mr. Warner said, “if you read the Goldstone Report, they show that the Israelis took Palestinian children and forced them to go into houses they thought might have been booby-trapped so that these Palestinian kids would get killed.
“The Israelis were using Palestinians as human shields,” Mr. Warner said, a radical charge seldom heard by an American Jew living in this country.
“That is documented in the Human Rights Watch reports, in Amnesty International reports and in the Goldstone Report.”
