Two ardent believers in the left-wing gospel of global warming (whose married name is climate-change-in-any-direction) today are scolding the foolishness of normal people who refuse to genuflect to global warming.
In a nearby space, colleague and valued friend Tom Elias reports about California conservatives coming around on global warming, the why of their conversion remains fogged in.
USA Today this morning offered a vivid sample of left-wing homerism.
They showcased how a devout leftist journalist plays hocus-pocus with global warming when he cannot unearth even wispy proof.
Media beat essayist and liberal lapdog Rem Rieder of USA Today lavishly praised the BBC Trust, overseer of the very left British Broadcasting Corp., for an eye-catching policy move.
The Trust instructed its on-air personalities, according to the feckless Mr. Rieder, that when climate change stories are reported, BBC announcers/reporters need no longer be objective (as true journalists are trained to be), need not give equal time. The reason: The case against the global warming deniers, as they tauntingly call normal people, is so lopsided that deniers do not deserve the respect of equal footing.
Never mind that global warming – where mountains of fraud have been uncovered — has not been proven any more than global cooling was proven a few years ago — by these same go-along true believers.
Hoping to bulwark his wheezing cause, the scam of the 21st century, Mr. Rieder asserted that “there is an overwhelming consensus among scientists that human activities are causing global warming.”
Psst, Rem, ol’ boy: Humans have been on this planet for a few thousand years. Why now? What happened?
Most global warmies are leftists, Mr. Rieder. That may be a tipoff.
The BBC Trust’s report to broadcasters said that “over-rigid application of editorial guidelines on impartiality,” continues to give “undue attention to marginal opinion about climate change.
Balderdash.
The BBC has not been impartial since Henry the Eighth was married to No. 3.
Mr. Rieder’s conclusion would not be so chokingly funny if 98 percent of American media were not controlled by the hard left.
In cheering on the BBC Trust, Mr. Rieder says it is about time somebody taught fair-obsessed left-wing reporters that fairness no longer is fashionable.
“Often journalists are reluctant to state the conclusions that stem from their reporting out of concerned that they will appear partisan or biased.”
Mr. Rieder must never have read 18 of America’s top 20 newspapers.
God gave us liberals to show he does have a sense of humor.
