The politics of love and the people of politics. A house party and a political party. Emotions run high and power struggles unfold in two of Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre’s recent productions, featured in an online double bill screening, (at 2ndline.tv/rulesofthehouse), happening on Thursday evening at 7 o’clock.
Hit the Ceiling, a short film depicting two couples at a late night house party in the Hollywood Hills, is followed by footage from the 2010 performance of Governing Bodies, a celebration of the democratic process performed at Los Angeles City Hall.
Viewers will have the opportunity to chat live online with choreographer and artistic director Heidi Duckler about the animalistic nature of love and politics, as well as how each is governed by the rules of the house.
Those who purchase tickets in advance can sit back and relax the night of the event. Suggested ticket price is $5.
