I may be becoming a zip tie addict, but I prefer to think of myself as a zip tie champion. I go around the house and the yard looking for things to fix with zip ties. It amazes me how simple and quick these fixes are.
Our traveling food cart on wheels toppled forward when loaded with food. I zip tied the upper back of the cart to the handle, and the bottom front of the cart to the plastic base. No more tipping over.
When my pool skimmer at times moved away from the wall of the above ground pool, air would be sucked into the pump. A simple zip tie around the skimmer rail, and through the pool wall, secured the skimmer. No more worries here.
My nightstand thermometer used to fall down a lot. One zip tie around the top of the thermometer, and another securing that zip tie to a nail in the side of the nightstand did the trick.
My pool ladder, half in and half out of the pool, often migrated toward the inside of the pool. That meant more bumping into the ladder as I swam. A couple of zip ties around the ladder rails and through the pool wall, and the ladder stays firm against the pool. Much more room to swim now.
One side of our dish rack silverware holder broke. I zip tied the top of the holder to the dish rack.
The four-foot Japanese pine tree near the waterfall has been bending over, exposing the not so lovely side of the waterfall. I zip tied the pine tree to one of the faux boulders I constructed, and now the side of the waterfall is lovely.
With my zip ties and awl, I am ready for action.
