Why Certain Black People Hate Their Fellow Blacks

No one can deny that racism is holding the black community down. But it is not just white racism – rather, the racist attitudes some black people have against other black people. Black people are the product of the same racist environment as white people.

The weaker-minded among us are as racist towards other black people as any sheet-wearing hillbilly. I call it “bligotry,” black-on-black bigotry.

As a direct result of bligotry, we refuse to patronize one another’s business efforts. Black business owners try to get rich on one sell. More enlightened black people even try to patronize them. For this reason, we can’t come together to get a financial foothold in society. We are not going to be able to address the issue of black upward mobility until we begin to see the truth about bligotry.

It is not self-hatred. To be self-hating, you have to recognize your blackness.

People who suffer from bligotry don’t hate themselves nor other black people. They merely look upon black people with disdain. They think we are beneath them. Among themselves, they will say,  “You know how niggas are” – meaning, “those others.”

That is why such people believe they are qualified to tell the black community what to think. They are convinced they are an intellectual aberration. They believe an accident of birth caused them to be born black. They love the idea of having soul and rhythm. They like being able to lay claim to Ray Charles, Miles Davis, John Coltrane. They tend to believe there is a distinct genetic difference between themselves and those “ignit niggas.”

They think they are what black people were intended to be, but the average Black person is some sort of inferior genetic mutation. That explains why the first thing that comes out of the mouths of people like Allen West, Larry Elder, Clarence Thomas, Alan Keyes or Ben Carson, is an attack on black people, using President Obama as their black poster boy. When they attack Barack Obama, they are using the President as a symbol to attack us all.

This is why they have such unfathomable political views. Their politics consists of two issues, self-service and to declare to the world that “I am different from those other black people that you don’t like. I don’t blame you for not liking them because I don’t like them,  either.”
