Apps, Culver City-style, Now Are Being Accepted

The City Clerk’s Office today is reminding residents that the application period has opened for appointments to city commissions, committees and boards. There are two deadlines:

Applications for currently vacant offices will be accepted until Tuesday, March 11, at 5 o’clock.
 
There are vacancies on the Parks and Recreation Commission (1), Committee on Homelessness (1), Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board (1 Tenant, 1 Member at-Large) and the Fiesta la Ballona Committee (2).
 
The City Council is scheduled to make appointments at its Monday, March 24, meeting. Those not selected will be eligible for the second round.

Applications for offices that become vacant July 1 may be made with the City Clerk’s office until Tuesday, April 29, at 5 o’clock. 
 
Openings are available on the Civil Service Commission (1), Cultural Affairs Commission (1), Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission (1), Planning Commission (1), Committee on Homelessness (4), Disability Advisory Committee (3), Fiesta la Ballona Committee (1), Los Angeles Airport Area Advisory Committee (3), West Los Angeles Vector Control Board (1), and Finance Advisory Committee (2).
 
The City Council is scheduled to address these appointments at its Monday, May 12 meeting.
