Negotiations over how to settle City Hall’s alleged public health hazard dispute with the closed Culver City Ice Arena sailed past the city-imposed 5 o’clock deadline this afternoon without a sign of a compromise in the 11-day-old stalemate.
No indication was detected of how close attorneys for the city and the Ice Arena are to a settlement.
The Takahashi family, employed by the rink since the 1980s, was hoping to fling open for business the now-barred doors a week from tomorrow morning.
