[img]2171|left|||no_popup[/img]The City Clerk’s Office today announced the opening of the application period for Commission, Committee, and Board appointments. There are two application deadlines:
For currently vacant offices, applications will be accepted by the Clerk’s Office until 5 Tuesday, March 11, at 5 p.m. Late applications may not be accepted.
Vacancies are on the Parks and Recreation Commission (1), Committee on Homelessness (1), Landlord-Tenant Mediation Board (1 Tenant, 1 Member at Large) and the Fiesta la Ballona Committee (2).
Appointments for current vacancies are tentatively scheduled to be considered by the City Council on Monday, March 24. Persons not appointed during the earlier application period will be considered during the second application period.
Applications for offices that will become available on July 1 will be accepted until Tuesday, April 29, at 5 o’clock. As with the first period, late applications may not be accepted.
Openings for this deadline are available on the Civil Service Commission (1), Cultural Affairs Commission (1), Parks, Recreation and Community Services Commission (1), Planning Commission (1), Committee on Homelessness (4), Disability Advisory Committee (3), Fiesta la Ballona Committee (1), Los Angeles Airport Area Advisory Committee (3), West Los Angeles Vector Control Board (1), and Finance Advisory Committee (2).
Tentatively, the Council will fill the vacancies pm Monday, May 12.
New appointees will be required to attend Brown Act training, at a date to be determined.
