For the past four months, the School District has held twice-monthly meetings where community members were able to express their own personal views on the size and term of the proposed bond measure.

The District also paid for a telephone survey of 500 likely voters, in a mid-January poll.

Tomorrow night's 7 o’clock School Board meeting in the cafetorium of Lin Howe Elementary us crucial.

This is maybe one of the latest, best kept secrets under the radar in our small town: The Culver City USD will hold its only regularly scheduled discussion on the District's largest-ever proposed bond measure, worth $106M.

The Board plans to pass a resolution to put it on the June 4 ballot.

Meanwhile, the School Board will continue its road show, visiting various school sites throughout the District and holding its regularly scheduled meetings on-campus instead of at the District Office.

Lin Howe Elementary, 4100 Irving Pl., is next door to the School District offices.

As for the road trips, “Our vision is to have the school presenting their annual 'School Spotlight' serve as host for the meeting,” said Supt. Dave LaRose.

“By holding meetings at the school sites, providing tours and engaging the school community, the presentations will provide a more personalized representation of what makes every CCUSD school so special.”
