Culver City High School Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, founded in 1996, celebrates two decades of creating art and changing lives Saturday evening at the Kirk Douglas Theatre.
Java Gala, the annual benefit for the AVPA Foundation, will kick off a 6:30 reception and curtain at 8. This will launch a year-long tribute to one of the most unique of arts education programs.
In addition to silent auction items, there will be opportunities to donate and support the work AVPA produces each year, all while participating in an evening of entertainment from our students in art, dance, film, music and theatre.
Along with performances and presentations, the first class of students will be inducted into the AVPA Hall of Fame.
