Super Tuesday has come to Culver City, as City Council candidate Scott Wyant remarked this morning.
Today is the first time in the Forum Season,” Mr. Wyant said, “when we candidates have been invited to two forums in one day — the Exchange Club Candidates’ Forum at noon, and the more recently announced Blair Hills Neighborhood Assn. Forum tonight.”
Mr. Wyant insists it will not be a strain in any form.
“As always, I am looking forward to these opportunities to hear what Culver City residents think about the current and future state of our fair city,” he said.
Standing before an inquiring, generally receptive audience, is much less demanding than the physical strains of walking the neighborhoods in all sections of Culver City.
“Walking door-to-door two or three days a week has brought many surprises,” Mr. Wyant said.
“The forums are like a concentrated dose of door-to-door interaction — more people, shorter time-frame.
“In addition, the Exchange Club forum gathers people from all neighborhoods, with city-wide kudos and concerns, while the Blair Hills forum will bring out more local issues that some of us candidates may not be as familiar with.
Mr. Wyant said that any opportunity to hear from our citizens “makes me a better candidate and, I hope, a better City Council member.
“Plus,” he added, “I enjoy meeting new constituents. Bring them on!”
