Friends of the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center are asking the community to help “Reach for Rainbows” at its annual fundraiser, Saturday, Feb. 20, at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Culver City.

The Culver City Women’s Club and John Riordan, owner of John Riordan Plumbing, Inc., will be honored.

Members of the Women’s Club and Mr. Riordan have contributed to the fabric of Culver City for decades through monetary donations and supportive events.  Their efforts have helped many families reach for rainbows with hope and optimism.

The 5:30 affair begins with a silent auction. Music will be provided by Ronnie Jayne, a Culver City resident, with a no-host bar. It continues with dinner, a program, and a live auction.

A special tribute to Andy Alexander, who died last year, will be presented.  A dynamic force in establishing the Health Center, she raised funds for its ongoing services through the years.

Tickets are $100 prior to Feb. 13 or $110 at the door. All proceeds go to the Sandy Segal Youth Health Center on the campus of Culver City High School and Middle School.

The Health Center is operated by the Venice Family Clinic and provides free, quality healthcare for Culver City students.  Among services are physicals, immunizations, vision and hearing tests, care for ongoing illnesses and conditions, prescription medications and mental health counseling provided by the Los Angeles Child Development Center.
