Austin Beutner, publisher of the Los Angeles Times and Police Chief Charlie Beck clandestinely ganged up to eliminate Times’ political cartoonist Ted Rall. The MTA’s Office of the Inspector General is requested immediately to open an investigation into a long-ago jaywalking ticket issued to the aggrieved Mr. Rall, the Times’s current cause for firing him.

While lodging this complaint with LAPD Inspector General Alexander Bustamente, we have just encountered the most difficult complaint process ever experienced over a lifetime of making such governmental complaints!

Did Times Publisher Beutner initiate this investigation of Ted Rall’s “ancient” jaywalking ticket that resulted in his unjust firing?

Or was it a joint effort from the start with Chief Beck, who always has hated being the target of Ted Rall’s Times’ political cartoons, leading the attack?

Listen to LAPD’s illegal secret audio-tape of this jaywalking incident, which Mr. Rall has just posted online at: a NewDomain website.

Did the LAPD violate its own rules for public disclosure here by gladly handing over to the Times any LAPD records that Publisher Beutner desired, without filing the necessary document requests?

The anti-Semitic Mr. Beutner is attempting to shift the blame for Cartoonist Rall’s firing onto the Jewish shoulders of Editorial Page Editor Nicholas Goldberg.

Something terrible — such as what just happened to Mr. Ted Rall never can happen at a Newspaper Guild shop because reporters there are union-protected. But The Los Angeles Times management remains historically and vehemently anti-union!

(Much more to come.)
