Given President Obama’s daily-tested talents for cunning and deceit, it probably is not coincidental that his decision to free 46 criminals, black and brown drug addicts, was held until the day the surrender to Iran’s nuclear demands would monopolize the news.
I find this story immensely compelling because it is Mr. Obama again at his wiliest.
Never original or imaginative in what passes for his thinking, our first openly racist president has been saying with growing boldness that minority druggies – in a sign of racial injustice — are punished disproportionately to white addicts. He does not know that any more than he knows the mileage to the moon.
Unilaterally, he has been threatening to correct that “injustice,” and that was the entire basis of yesterday’s announcement
The reason for the numbers is that minorities are far likelier to commit crimes, especially where drugs are concerned.
Three out of every four black babies are born are out of wedlock, as old-fashioned as that formulation may sound.
Children raised in single-parent homes are far likelier to fail at life than children brought up in normal homes. The black prison population is irrefutable proof.
Mr. Obama’s ability to unfailingly link every domestic story that interests him to race and therefore to perceived oppression is uncanny enough to warrant standing applause.
When he wants to blow off an important story – predictably where he is complicit — he feigns ignorance.
Immigration reform is supposed to be his second favorite subject after obliteration of the Confederacy.
Yet when his White House mouthpiece Josh Earnest was asked about the five-times-deported illegal Mexican alien who murdered Kathryn Steinle in San Francisco, Boob Earnest, on orders from Boob Obama, ducked. Told reporters he could not comment on an individual case, a well-worn lie.
John Walters of the Weekly Standard properly assesses Mr. Obama’s latest social abomination:
“Just who is Obama releasing? Not ‘low-level, drug-possession offenders’ or marijuana users. No, he is releasing crack dealers, cocaine dealers, and methamphetamine dealers. Most of the 46 were crack cocaine distributors, some convicted of dealing more than 10 pounds of crack.
“Moreover, some of these felony drug dealers were also convicted of a gun crime, such as, ‘possession of a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking offense.’
“So, President Obama and former Atty. General Eric Holder attacked the entire American criminal justice system, charging that large numbers of individuals were routinely imprisoned for non-violent drug possession. And after months of searching they have found no such individuals—none. “But they will release a tiny group of convicted drug dealers and armed felons.”
