Fellow Veterans and Friends of Veterans,
Hope is on the way!
As we know, President Obama has reached out to human rights violator Cuba by promising to open an American embassy there.
Cuban President Raul Castro praised the announcement. He said it is a way to “develop respectful relations and cooperation between our peoples and governments.”
Correspondingly, the Old Veterans Guard is reaching out to Mr. Obama.
We request that he open an American embassy at the Los Angeles VA to develop respectful relations and cooperation between our Veterans and VA bureaucrats, as well as to clamp down on the U.S. government’s human rights violations against homeless, war-injured Veterans.
We further request a humanitarian relief encampment on the Grand Lawn to provide immediate tented shelter and triage care for thousands of Veterans who have heretofore been forbidden from entering onto this sovereign Veteran Reservation.
Hopefully, the decades-long sanctions banning Veterans from entering the Los Angeles VA for the most basic of human rights – housing and medical care — may soon be lifted.
God Bless America and the Veterans Revolution!

I agree. Sounds like a reasonable plan to me.
