Nine players from Culver City’s Youth Lacrosse program traveled to Indiana last week to participate in a four-day lacrosse camp at the University of Notre Dame.
Players entering the sixth and seventh grades 6th and 7th grade made the trip from Culver City, through Chicago, to attend one of the nation’s top summer lacrosse camps.
Players had an opportunity to visit the prestigious Notre Dame campus and learn about what it takes both academically and athletically to participate in collegiate sports.
Players had a once-a-lifetime opportunity to tour both the lacrosse and football facilities.
This included a behind the scenes tour made possible with the assistance of Culver City High School Coach/Athletic Director Tom Salter, and two Notre Dame coaches, Bob Elliott from football and Jonathan Rodak from lacrosse.

Great opportunity for these young people to bond, experience the atmosphere of a unique university. Thanks to the team effort lead by Coach Casey Chabola.
Yes it was one of the best trips I’ve been on since the Ohio state tour. During our tour we took a lot of pictures. And while we were there we bonded with kids from all around the states. I met a goalie from North Carolina and we talked and walked anthen he asked me the question “How is Southern California” I said “that it was sunny and nice weather.” After we left I said to my dad who went with us that I “want to go again”.
