Culver City Welcomes Mayor Park Kyung-Chul of Iksan City

Four members of Culver City’s reliably active Sister City club were on hand at LAX last week to welcome Mayor Park Kyung-Chul of Iksan City, South Korea,  a Sister City of Culver City, and his party who have been visiting Culver City and the Westside.

Alan Schreibman, co-president of Culver City’s Sister City delegation, former president Barbara Honig, City Councilman Jim Clarke and Sister City member Wonyoung Booth sought to make His Korean Honor feel welcome.

Korean officials met last Friday with Culver City Mayor Mehaul O’Leary. They were treated to a welcoming reception at Kay ‘n Dave’s that evening, and last evening they were accorded recognition by the City Council at the Council meeting.

Yesterday afternoon they met President/CEO Steve Rose and other leaders of the Chamber of Commerce.

Iksan City became a Culver City Sister City in 1983.
