City Council contender Jeff Cooper, flanked by his campaign co-chair Michael Whitaker and his Walk Coordinator Karen Gibbs, launched his walking tour of Culver City earlier this month.

Mr. Cooper, one of four candidates for two seats in the April 13 election, was joined by 10 supporters. They walked door to door to meet voters in the Carlson Park neighborhood. As he met citizens and spoke with them about his candidacy, the candidate emphasized the central theme of his campaign, the Right Choice, Right Now.

“The weekend of Jan. 9 marked the first of many weekends Jeff will walk Culver City’s neighborhoods, meeting and listening to your friends, neighbors and family,” Mr. Whitaker said. “And Jeff wants to share with voters his vision for Culver City in 2010 and for the years to come.”

Mr. Cooper’s nexta event is a Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, Jan. 30, from 8 to 10 a.m., at Vets Park, near the new KaBoom children’s playground, along Culver Boulevard.
