Ridley-Thomas Backs Malsin

County Supervisor Mark Ridley-Thomas, whose Second District includes Culver City, announced today that he is supporting City Councilman Scott Malsin for re-election on April 13.

Mr. Ridley-Thomas has worked closely with Mr/ Malsin and the City Hall to address citizens’ concerns over plans by Plains Exploration & Production (PXP) to expand its oil drilling operations in Culver City and the adjacent Inglewood Oil Field.

Additionally, Mr. Malsin and Mr. Ridley-Thomas are both directors of the Exposition Construction Authority, which is building the Expo light rail line to Culver City and on to Santa Monica.

Regarding oil drilling, Mr. Ridley-Thomas said: “Scott has shown tremendous leadership on the matter. He always puts the concerns of his constituents and the best interests of his city first.”
