Re “Culver High vs. Student: Should She Be Allowed to Play

Just finished reading about the latest Youth and Gvernment/soccer team conflict at Culver City High School.

This also happened to my daughter, Katie, in her senior year, in 2003.

So this type of incident has had a long history of recurring.

I wish the parent, John Cohn, good luck in his endeavor to get his daughter re-instated. If she plays, being a senior, as tradition would have it, she would play on the Varsity, even if she's not good enough.

I had the same old crap said to me.

One difference was, our No. 1 goalie was also in Y & G. Being a key player, though, nothing was done to her or said about her being punished for her joining.

So this still has yet to be resolved, even after 6 years.

My, my.

When will the high school ever learn: Don't play around with our kids' happiness.

Sounds like a matter for the new School Board to finally rule on!

More power to you, John.
