Although I have been a registered Democrat since 1972, I have only recently joined the Culver City Democratic Club. Some people have told me that the Culver City Democratic Club is extremely left wing, that it doesn't represent the true ideals of mainstream Democrats.
My answer to these critics is that if you want to change the direction of a club that speaks for Democrats in Culver City, go to the meetings. Speak up. Join the club to vote on resolutions.
I have been to Afghanistan, and I have worked with international human rights groups to help the Afghan people.
I think it is imperative to support President Obama's plan to stop the Taliban.
I will be introducing the following resolution to the Culver City Democratic Club when it next meets on Wednesday night at 7 in the Rotunda Room of the Vets Auditorium.
I urge all Culver City Democrats to come to the meeting , voice your opinions, and join the club.
Resolution to Support President Obama’s Afghanistan Plan and Encourage the Building of More Schools to Thwart the Influence of Brainwashing in Taliban Madrasas.
