For weeks, Glenn Beck, the most animated commentator on Fox News, has been subjected to torturous daily rhetorical tattooings from written and spoken ladies and gentlemen on the Left for asserting that President Swish Obama is a racist.

Understandably there was outrage, even though Mr. Beck gave reasons. But the Left did not have any counter-arguments to the claim. They could not produce one example calling Mr. Beck’s accusation into doubt.

Chief among a passel of left wing disappointments this summer is the Left’s inability to respond intellectually to conservative claims about President Obama and his programs.

The Left’s downfall traditionally has been that its most prominent adherents, and its loudest followers, are emotionally based instead of intellectually rooted. It is why they have lost two-thirds of Presidential elections since Mr. Lincoln.

The Left produces the loudest screamers, the most intimidating bullies and hardly any thinkers. To their dismay, seven months into the Swish Obama administration, they are catching up to what they should have realized last November, that embarrassingly green fellow they elected lacks maturity, character, vision and even a rudimentary plan.

When a crisis occurs, the Left realizes, too late, that it takes thinking to succeed, not screaming.

The response to Mr. Beck from the Left this summer has demonstrated exactly why left-wing talk radio, to its consternation, has been a consistent failure, its abysmal lack of content. You can’t run a car on threats and bullying, much less a country.

Instead of telling Mr. Beck,”You are wrong for these reasons,” the ideologues on Left radio — in Los Angeles, it is Bill Press, Stephanie Miller, Mike Malloy, Randi Rhodes, all known for their vulgarity and crudity —invoke crude concepts and call Mr. Beck filthy names.

A rational listener with an open mind would conclude, logically, Mr. Beck’s charges are valid because the President’s defenders were unable to refute them.

Intellectually Bankrupt

The Left’s response was the cerebral equivalent of storming into your kitchen and branding an innocent box of matches with bad names.

What Left commentators do not understand is that liberals hunger for cerebral conversation as much as conservatives.

But liberal radio listeners soon become dispirited by the lack of discussion on Press, Malloy, Rhodes, Miller shows. They tune out. In Los Angeles, my dead dog has more followers than Press-Malloy-Rhodes-Miller. The four of them must take bitter and anger pills before the come onto the only liberal talk radio available in Los Angeles.

There is, of course, a market for their outrage, but it is of abbreviated duration. By the second day, you are forced to change the station from 1150 AM.

I love, almost crave, satire. But the deal is off unless you can effectively counter the assertions from the Right made while doling out satire and knife-sharp sarcasm.

The only successful left wing radio in America is National Public Radio because it does not debate, and scarcely acknowledges, conservatives or political reality. They only give the view from the Left on all subjects. NPR does not acknowledge the center, much less the Right.

With regularity, they attack Democrat Party-created voodoo dolls from the Republican Party — Rush Limbaugh, Sarah Palin, Dick Cheney and the newest target, Mark Sanford. They repeat their childish name-calling day after day without ever expanding the debate.

Instead of emulating Rush Limbaugh, the most successful commentator in radio annals, the Left fellows mock him. They have no answer for his wit, his information, his assertions.

What a China Shop Does Not Need

Which brings us to one of the reasons that Swish Obama’s healthcare reform takeover is in critical condition, U.S. Rep. Diane Watson.

She is a leading solider in the Obama army, mainly because he is black, as if that is an accomplishment instead of an accident of birth. If she were white, her name would be Bull Connor. That is how strong of a racist she is.

Gutter-mouthed and as mean as a junkyard dog, Bull Watson — understandably single — is my candidate for the ugliest person in Congress, the scowling, threatening old lady who hates all non-liberals, white or, especially, black. She proudly proclaims this. Bull Watson’s presence in Washington is a testimony to the brain-dead black voters of south Los Angeles. When many of them were young, they were told to vote Democrat, and they never have bothered to check back.

Bull hosted a town hall meeting at the Wade AME church last Thursday night (http://www.breitbart.tv/la-rep-obamacare-opponents-want-to-destroy-first-president-who-looks-like-me/). Listen to her typically, obnoxiously dramatic presentation reminded her audience why the old girl is known as Bull.

Graceless, undisciplined and frequently snarling, she often appears to be performing rather than speaking seriously.

In public, Bull often behaves like a buffoon, bullying people with her size and her foul temper. You could fill Dodger Stadium with the people Bull has offended just this session of Congress.

Bull is one of those fair-minded ladies. She believes all criticism of Swish Obama is rooted in racism, a prospect she relishes.

In her town hall, Bull —a horsey caricature of the late Sen. Joe McCarthy — served rhetorical dessert to her listeners by richly praising Fidel Castro, for his character, the revolution of 50 years ago and for the superiority of the Cuban healthcare system to ours.

If Only

If Bull were sitting across from me, I would invite her to join me in Miami next week. Together, arms wrapped tightly about each other, we would kick back to watch old ladies and old men, her age, dive into cool ocean waters and swim to Cuba for healthcare relief from the lover of her dreams, Fidel.
