Mr. Mayor, City Councilmen, my remarks tonight are in the nature of a rebuttal to comments that have been voiced on why we should support the Entrada Tower Project:
“Yes, it’s very tall, but several buildings in the Hughes Center are more than half its height, so it won’t look too much out of place.”
“Yes, it’ll generate more rush hour traffic in Culver City, but traffic is already jammed, so it can’t be too much worse.”
All this is equivalent to the same as saying that two wrongs make a right. When I was a child, my mother strongly urged that I never adopt this principle. Now I urge our city to follow my mother’s advice.
