In a recent article (“Entrada Funeral Becomes Old News, Project May Spring Back to Life,” April 29), you again claim that the majority of the audience at the April 14 City Council meeting were from Westchester.
No matter how many times you and the city make this claim, you are wrong.
I know the people from Westchester, the vocal ones and the quiet ones. I know them because of thefrontpageponline.com. You should send a thank you note to the Carlyle Group because you are now the source of information on Culver City for residents of Westchester, Del Rey and Ladera.
I know the residents of Westchester because I receive communications from them based on my email address at the bottom of my letters in your paper. And I eventually met them in person at various meetings.
I also know the quiet people in Culver City from my involvement in the Champion project and the Hunt Building.
I know these people, and they were there. Like I didn’t recognize most of the champagne and caviar crowd that was at last Monday evening’s love fest in the City Hall courtyard.
You and the people who think they run the city don’t know most of the beer and pretzel crowd that I hang with.
I can assure you that the majority of the audience at the April 14 meeting were Culver City residents. Maybe next time I should have them wear nametags stating that they are Culver City residents.
