Cary Anderson is a City Council candidate who truly understands the importance of maintaining a community that’s crime-free and truly safe for our children, families, professionals and senior citizens to peacefully reside.

I recently had the opportunity to attend a meet-and-greet function at Cary Anderson’s home where loads of his friends and supporters were in attendance. These folks were just ordinary Culver City residents, like you and me, who are deeply concerned that the recent increase in local crime is due in part to the city’s less than adequate support and funding for our Culver City Fire Dept. and Police Dept. As the victim of an armed assault in Culver City just a few years ago, I hope the newly elected City Council members will decide to hire more police and fire officers to protect our community, rather than spending our hard earned taxpayer monies on less important matters.

In all candor, I think that one can oftentimes judge a person by the company they keep – and it was interesting to hear Cary Anderson’s close friend and legendary KTLA (Channel 5) co-worker, Stan Chambers, regale everyone at this recent campaign function with fascinating recollections about his early days to present time as a veteran news reporter covering some of the most sensational news stories affecting Culver City.

The respectful and at-ease interaction between these two local television news people clearly demonstrated to everyone in attendance that it’s truly time to elect someone, like Cary Anderson, to the City Council to represent our citizenry’s best interests.

Fascinatingly, Cary Anderson has been characterized as the hardworking blue collar candidate currently running for the City Council.

I really hope everyone will vote on April 8 for someone who’s not afraid to roll up his sleeves to help get our beloved city back on track, to being the safe and secure community that it once was when my dear grandfather started Tito’s Tacos almost 50 years ago.

Cary Anderson’s diligent and thankless community activism within our beloved community has proven that he is fully capable of addressing the really tough issues concerning local Culver City residents.

It’s time to vote for Cary Anderson for the City Council.
