Scott will also be a consensus builder on the Council. He is able to understand all sides of an issue, and he is able to find a common ground. Unlike many of his peers, he can accept disagreement without being disagreeable.
In addition, he supports the Measure V Charter revision, which is needed to bring Culver City government into the twenty-first century.
In my mediation and arbitration practice, I have worked with many, if not most, of our Southern California governmental entities. The unanimous opinion of administrators I respect is that Culver City cannot attract the cream of the crop because no one wants to report to five Council members, with their administrative inexperience and political motivations, in addition to a Chief Administrative Officer.
Over my thirty years in Culver City, I have been happy to serve the City Council on various commissions, boards and committees. I also have served our educational community as an officer of both the Educational Foundation and the Youth Health Center.
We want the city to be the best it can be. In 2006, that means voting for Scott Malsin for City Council and voting in favor of Measure V on Tuesday, April 11,
