The Gandhi, King, Ikeda Community Builders prize is a coveted award that has been presented to outstanding figures of the 20th century. Among the winners are Nelson Mandela, Desmond Tutu, Coretta Scott King, Mikhail Gorbachev and John Hume.

“I find it an honor to have our students work toward this endeavor,” said Culver High teacher Carlos Valverde. “These students are eager to share an activity that explores the principles of nonviolence as a way of life and a means to bring about positive change in society. It is their hope that you help welcome, support, and participate in this unique experience by visiting the exhibit while it is here.”
