I am writing on behalf of the Yes on Prop. 38 campaign:
I want to let the community know that the Culver City PTA will be hosting a rally on Monday afternoon at 5 to show their support for Prop. 38, an initiative on the Nov. 6 ballot that will secure tens of millions of dollars in funding for local schools.
The event, at Vets Park, at the intersection of Overland Avenue and Culver Boulevard, will feature a variety of speakers including PTA members, local teachers, parents, and community leaders.
Prop. 38 would bring over $6 million to Culver City Unified School District schools by 2013-14, over $14 million by 2023-24.
This money could be used to reduce class sizes, restore art, music, math and science programs, and provide technical education and college preparation for local students.
