The entire community is invited to join us late Friday afternoon, from 5 to 7, for a Happy Hour Fundraiser for Yes on Measure Y at Joxer Daly’s Irish Pub, 11168 Washington Blvd., just east Sepulveda Boulevard.
Even though a recent headline announced that drinks were free during the fundraiser for the half-cent sales tax increase that is on the Nov. 6 ballot, emphatically that is not true. There are plenty of appealing attractions –
• Free admission.
• Free hors d’oeuvres.
• A no-host bar.
• A live auction featuring members of the City Council auctioning their skills and services to the highest bidders. Measure Y is the only tax measure on the ballot that will help Culver City maintain the level of services and programs that make Culver City special.
Start off the weekend for a great cause. Have a little fun. See you there.
