The Police Dept., in conjunction with the Fire Dept., will host a “Sept. 11 Memorial Service” in the courtyard of City Hall on Tuesday morning at 6:45.
City and other government officials will be in attendance and, as always, the public is invited.
The service will commemorate the thousands of firefighters, police officers, military personnel and civilians who died during the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center buildings in Manhattan at that hour on Sept. 11, 2001. Public parking will be available in the City Hall parking lot.
Residents who lost a loved one on 9-11 and are attending the memorial should call police Lt. Ron Iizuka at 310.253.6258 to be appropriately recognized.
