Re “Both Sides, Not Just One, Should Be Heard in Fracking Debate”
In response to Robert Zirgulis’s letter yesterday, the many concerned residents of Culver City who are tirelessly seeking a ban on fracking, are the same residents working to see if the rules of tonight’s 7 o’clock fracking workshop in Council Chambers can be designed so that all sides can be equally heard.
We believe in the power of information and democracy.
We trust that if these pillars come together with full force, our residents will come to see that regulations will not work.
A ban is the only answer until the oil/gas industry can truly and scientifically demonstrate the safety of their processes, just as other industries do.
