Here is a story about the present campaign you will not read today or any time in the Los Angeles Titanic or The New York Times because their journalists are obsessed with defeating Mr. Romney.

The most closely watched U.S. Senate race in the country is in Massachusetts, pitting Republican incumbent Scott Brown against Elizabeth Warren, who is unusually liberal even for a Democrat. She is out fundraising him 2 to 1, and is even or ahead in polling.

Liberal journalists are playing it hot because they are convinced she will win and restore Democratic order in the nutty state.

Like 90 percent of left-wing politicians, the 62-year-old Ms. Warren, notably unattractive, runs on a throbbing tank of permanent anger and unblinking lies, not mere schoolboy hyperbole. Rimless glasses and an overbite give her a Grim Granny appearance.

A Harvard law professor, last year she was going to be the teeth-gritting czarette of the President’s Frankenstein creation known as the “Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.” Republicans refused to confirm her radical agenda, and she fled Washington.

A hard-bitten feminist, Ms. Warren plays the Ah Is a Minority Victim nonsense down to her last mean-spirited breath.

Together, let us count the ways Ms. Warren, in typically liberal fashion, misrepresents herself.

• Ms. Warren, a native of Oklahoma, claims to be about 1/64th Indian heritage. Not sure of her roots, she says her campaign is searching for evidence of her heritage.

But this tissue-thin assertion has not slowed her As Is a Victim career.

On the campaign trail, she said she could not recall if she ever claimed minority status when applying for a job. Hmm. Harvard Law last week identified Ms. Warren as a minority hire. From 1986 to 1995, her name was included in the Assn. of American Law Schools’ annual directory of minority law teachers.

• Ms. Warren claims to have risen from poverty in Oklahoma City.

When she entered her teens, her family owned three cars, including an MG she drove to high school. The Boston Globe defended her by saying the MG was “beat up.”

• Ms. Warren casts herself as the blue-collar working girl and Mr. Brown as significantly wealthier.

To the left, you know, poverty is stylish.

Oops. Last Friday, she released four years of tax returns. During that span, Ms. Warren and her puppy dog, non-Indian husband averaged Income of $300,000 more a year than Mr. Brown and his television reporter wife. In 2009, the Warren couple earned $732,000 more than the Browns.

• Stocks. She told MSNBC that she is among the downtrodden trying mightily to rise. “I realize there are wealthy individuals – I am not one of them – but some wealthy individuals who have a lot of stock portfolios.”

Oops. Ms. Warren has mutual0-fund portfolios. Her worth is estimated between $4.6 million and $14.5 million.

Liberals tell us the middle class is the most important population in the country – outside of aging, paraplegic, black lesbians whose parents died just before they were born.

Portraying herself as a middle-class Indian girl just slogging along, Ms. Warren’s dishonest response was classic:

Middle class, she said, “is not about a number. It’s about a place in your heart.”
