[Editor’s Note: Mr. Scott, City Manager of Culver City from the spring of 2009 to April 2010, returned with his wife to Fresno, his hometown, to become its City Manager and comfort his aging parents in their declining years.]

Just wanted to say hello. I enjoyed reading the stories on the recent election.

I think it is going to be a very solid City Council. Everything you say about Andy Weissman is correct. Perfect guy for the role.

I am sorry Culver City continues to be so hard on its public officials, but I guess that’s the price for living/working in what is otherwise a pretty amazing town.

I have been back on weekends three times since I left, and it is really quite a place.

I’m working myself into old age in my Fresno job. Nice to have the mission of supporting my hometown, but we are a big city with urban poverty challenges.

We are REAL broke. I lost my audience for invocations before Council meetings when I left Culver City.

My comeuppance for leaving Culver City prematurely has been this new job (now two years), but I am glad to be here.

My Dad is fading but hanging in there.

Just came up for air for a moment and thought I would say hello.

Mr. Scott may be wished well at Mark.scott@fresno.gov
